The Real Butch.....

Hi Butch Fans, ok, Blog Fans....

Its me, Butch and this is my first attempt at blogging.  I had to push that Scooby beastie of the keyboard.... he was bonking it!!!     Oh the shame!!

Anyhows, I thought I would let everyone know what I've been up to today.  You see, I have a bit of a reputation as a Bad Boy / Thug.   But deep down, I'm not like that - and I don't want to be like that.  I just get a bit confused.

See, when I'm on my lead I act and look really scary and cross.  Its not very useful really when I'm out with the other dogs and sometimes it gets me into trouble.  It does depend who is on the end of the lead and how much confidence I have in them, but it is a bit silly really.

It must have started in my old home, but I can't really remember now.  My previous Daddy went into hospital forever and couldn't look after me anymore.  I think that before that happened I used to look after him.   Mummy Sarah thinks that I was either attacked by another dog when I was on lead, or I tried to protect my dad at some point when I was on lead.

I'm trying very hard to get better, but sometimes when I'm out with the walkers and on lead I lose confidence and am a bit mean to other doggie friends walking with me.   I know, I'm a silly twit and I know I look very scarey and grumpy indeed.  :(

However, the Real Butch is the one that Mummy Sarah & Daddy Paul sees all the time.  I love coming out and playing in the barn with the other doggies.  We play racey chasey games and wrestle.   Today that naughty scamp 'Scooby DON'T!' decided that I was his bonking victim.....   Mummy said she was very proud of me because I didn't get cross in the slightest and in this case I actually had every right to tell him to sling his hook!   Mummy told him to stop it and we played chase with everyone else instead.  Jack and I were doing the flirty dance, and batting paws which was great fun - its mad because when we are on lead you would think we are deadly enemies!!

So I am trying very hard to get better on lead and I am getting there, which makes Mummy & Daddy very proud of me.

I give the bestest cuddles to people and that makes everything right when I get cuddled back.

Love to everyone (in an off lead mood)

Does anyone know.....

...what a Stud Muffin or Bonking Brat is??  I'm a bit confused.

Mummy Sarah was cleaning out the beds this evening.  We were all having our evening play session, and I decided that I would help Mummy Sarah.  I thought that I would help by trying to push her into a bed, so I was on my back legs and really trying to shove her into the bed.  Mummy Sarah said I wasn't being helpful and would I kindly stop doing what I was doing..... well, she used other words, but I am a polite puppy and would NEVER repeat them in public.

As FiFi ran past she said I was turning into a right little Stud Muffin and winked at me... I think that means I am cute and cuddly, but I might be wrong....

I decided that Mummy Sarah REALLY, REALLY needed my help, so I went into overdrive.   TeeeHeeee, I managed to sneak up on her, and she went face first into a bed!!    HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thats when I heard THE VOICE.... but it wasn't Mummy Sarah's THE VOICE...... Oppppphss........ It was WORSE!!!!!

"AND WHAT EXACTLY DO YOU THINK YOU ARE UP TO SCOOBY??   DON'T YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENS TO BONKING BRATS???    IF YOU DON'T STOP IT RIGHT NOW, THEN I AM GOING TO HAVE TO DEAL WITH YOU MYSELF!!!!!!"

I looked up towards THE VOICE and Prince Charming was towering over me with a very cross look on his face.  Mummy was still trying to get out of the dog bed.   Prince raised an eyebrow and put his face and nose right against mine.....

"I SUGGEST YOU APOLOGISE TO MUMMY RIGHT NOW, AND THEN MAKE YOURSELF SCARCE FOR A WHILE - BONKING BRAT!!"

I siddled up and kissed Mummy on the nose and then ran off to play with Chip.  I kept looking over, but Prince had ruined my game.  He stood next to Mummy while she got up and let her lean on him when she stood.   She said something about a hurty knee.   Prince shot me one of his special looks that means I'd better be good now.  Oppphs again!!     Then the spoilsport stood with Mummy while her back was turned and she carried on cleaning out our beds, so 'no-one' could sneak up on her.   He is such a goodie-two-shoes sometimes.... but you didn't hear that from me........... ermmmmm, Chip said it!!!!

Lots of love,
Scooby The Rebel Puppy!!!!

Thank you very much......

.......the Maderia Cake and Banana & Walnut Cake that Mummy Sarah bought for the Dog Walkers today were very delicious.  They were left alone in the caravan, and everyone had gone walking, so I guessed they didn't want them.

I decided to taste test them, purely for safety purposes and I can honestly state they were YUMMY!!

I am such a good boy!!!

Yesterday I was out walking with Auntie Gillian & Tipper.  It was a lovely walk in the autumn sunshine.  I was having a great time bouncing around with Tipper.   Then Auntie Gillian missed her step and she fell over in the slippy ground.  Oppphss!   As she fell forward she let go of our leads as she put her hands out to stop herself.

Tipper stayed with Auntie Gillian to make sure she was ok, but I did one better.  I ran all the way back to the yard by myself to get help, and sat in front of the barn waiting!!   Mummy Sarah was on the phone in the caravan and didn't notice me run past and Daddy Paul was already in the barn and didn't realise I was outside doing my best LASSIE impersonation!!   Useless pair!!    Anyways, Tipper helped Auntie Gillian up, and bought her back.  She was ok and the only casualty was some sausages that had fallen out of her pocket!!   I'll rescue those later today.

Mummy Sarah said she was very proud of me.  I was very brave to come back all by myself and try and get help.   It shows how far I have come as I was so scared of people before.

I think that means I am a HERO!!

Hello from Misty!!

Hello everyone, I'm Misty.  This week Sarah got a call from Ray, the Wellingborough Dog Warden.  I'd been picked up as a stray and he was worried about me.  I did have a chip thing, but the person I was chipped to said she'd got rid of me a while ago, but couldn't remember who had me!!  We think the people who said they'd found me straying was the people and THEY didn't want me either!   That's not very nice is it?!

Anyhow, I had to go and 'serve my time' in prison, I mean the pound.  While I was there, I didn't like it one jot.  It was very noisy and I was in solitary confinement.  I didn't have anything to do, so being a very smart collie girl, I decided to keep myself busy.  I did regular workouts, I didn't have much room so I did my own made up aerobics in my kennel.  I discovered I had a real talent for it, and could bounce really high and fast.  I was also excellent at running round in circles and spinning like a breakdancer.  I practiced my singing voice too, and was very good at doing Marine corp type shouting while I was exercising.  I also kept calling out to people walking by.   When I wasn't exercising, I realised that the other dogs near me were very noisy.  They would shout at each other for no reason at all.   Being a very smart collie, I knew this wasn't right.  So I shouted at them to be quiet and keep still.  Really, don't they realise that is all a collie wants from life?   Everything in its place and in control??   I had to shout lots at them to try and make them behave.  I couldn't get to them to herd them, so I had to shout.  It was very frustrating because the other dogs were obviously all very stupid and didn't speak the same language as me!!    They gave me a headache.   In the end I gave up, and found myself another job.  I decided to practice my interior and bed making skills.   I was particularly good at using my bed as a flag, waving it around and then shreadding it.  Unfortunately my aerobic, singing, herding from a kennel and interior design skills were not appreciated by the humans at the kennels and they thought I was very stressed.    Ray came up to see me, and he called Mummy Sarah and said he was very worried about me and would she come and see me.  He said I would have to go to another place called Put To Sleep next week.  I didn't like the sound of that, it didn't sound much fun.

So Mummy Sarah came to visit me, and she gave me some jobs to do.   WOW!!!   YAY!!!!   She said I could have a space with them and she came back for me a couple of days later.   I came out of my kennel and she put me on a lead.  I was a bit worried at first, but she gave me some more jobs to do and then just asked me to watch her.   I stopped thinking about being worried and concentrated on being busy.    Cooooooooooollllll.   Then she picked me up and put me in a special crate in her car.  She asked me to lay down and I did.    The lady who'd looked after me at the kennels couldn't believe it.  She said it was the calmest she'd ever seen me.   I think that was a good thing to say.

I set off with Mummy Sarah & we went straight to a place called The Vets.  Uncle Chris gave me the once over and I made an appointment to go back next week to have something called 'a spay'.    Then we came home to Wiccaweys.

WOW!!!!  I couldn't believe it!   It was full of doggies just like me, and they all spoke my language!!!  They made me feel very welcome.   Mummy Sarah settled me down in my bed, and I was rooming next to Susie and Lassie.  They were very kind and made me feel at home.   There was only the occasional woof from the other residents, when they heard something.  It is much quieter than my old place.

In the morning, I met some more collies like me and went out for a walk.  WOW!!   Here there are lots of fields and smells to explore!  There are other animals like cats, horses and some very strange animals that go MMMMMMMMOOOOOOOOOO!   So much to see!!

Later in the day, is my favourite part.  Its PARTYTIME!!!!   Mummy Sarah & Daddy Paul have everyone out to play in the big barn!!   We run and chase and play tuggy!!   Some of them are a bit weird because they do something called the conga around the barn.  It usually involves Mummy or Daddy at the front with Prince Charming and FiFi behind them on their back legs and they go round the barn to the music!!  The others join in too and its very funny!   I haven't tried it yet.  Today I was playing in particular with Scooby, Kane, Chip, Butch, Tipper, Glen & Cabbie.  We did some fab racing around  LOL!   Prince Charming and Merlin were acting as chaparones and keeping us in line.  Susie, Josie & Lassie all sat together and were watching. Lily & Daisy joined in and stole all the tennis balls!!   FiFi decided that she was taking it easy today as she'd had her 'spay' yesterday.  She said it was excellent and when I had mine next week I would be able to see balloons, rainbows and lollipops all day long!!  She said she hoped she could go again next month!   I think she is a bit strange.  Tess Tickles told me she thinks FiFi has an anaesethtic problem.....!!

Tomorrow is the weekend, and apparently I will get to meet some more new people.  Toby said they are called Sausage Pockets!!    Prince Charming said he was fibbing and they are called Dog Walkers, but have sausage pockets.   I'm not sure what having sausage pockets means, but it sounds exciting!  I'm looking forward to that because it means we will be going up the fields again!!!  YAY!!!!!!!!

Mummy also said I would be getting my photo taken.

Byyyye for now

ex ACDC fan, currently listening to old recordings of Woodstock..... until tomorrow, then I'm a Rock Chick again!!

Today I shall mostly be sleeping.....

.... at the vets while I have a special operation.   I am going to try and be very brave and not revert back the old FiFi.   Daddy is making lots of squeaking noises, and muttering about his 'Little Sweetie' & 'Is she really ready yet?   I mean, she's not going anywhere for a long while yet, I'm not sure she's ready...'
Mean Mummy has been growling at him, and said I'd been here since January and I was more than ready now, Daddy is just very precious about me.

No dancing for me for a few days.  BoooHooo!!!

Wish me luck

Ohh, I'm first!!! Hello from Scooby!!

Hello Everyone!!

My name is Scooby & I am a 4 month old puppy at Wiccaweys.  I arrived about 12 days ago from Ireland.

I've had a very tough time, but some lovely people in Ireland saved my bacon and arranged for me to come over to stay with Mummy Sarah & Daddy Paul.   I nearly didn't get to leave Ireland though, as I was a very angry, scared and confused little boy.  People had been soooooooooooo nasty to me that I didn't trust anyone at all.   I had very sharp puppy teeth and claws and I knew how to use them to protect myself.   I wouldn't let anyone near me and made it very hard for them to help me.  I just wanted to hurt people before they hurt me.

When I arrived at Wiccs I was very upset and angry.  I told Mummy Sarah that I hated her and I was going to kill her!!  Mummy Sarah didn't believe me and said I was just scared.  I told her that I hated her for about 48 hours.   Mummy Sarah didn't care.  She just sat with me and looked stupid playing games by herself.   Other people called Dog Walkers popped their heads in to see me and I told them they stunk too!   Mummy Sarah gave me some special treats that made me feel a bit calmer and then I let her stroke me, sort of!!  Grrrrrrrrr.    Daddy Paul & Mummy Sarah just laughed at me and told me I was a very handsome little boy and that I would be fine.   Yes - that's what they all say and then they hurt me!!!    Humph!!!

Mummy Sarah had some sausages and while I wasn't looking she snuck a lead on me!!!   Then without saying anything, she just walked out.   I was attached to her, so I had to go too!   Mummy Sarah just ignored me being silly and kept walking.  Jack & Merlin doggies came over to see me and I tried to kill them!!   I hated them!!  They laughed at me, and Jack threw a ball at me and said chase that instead, its more fun.   Merlin told me to stop being silly.

It was Saturday and people were visiting and walking the other dogs.  I hated everyone!   Mummy Sarah was in a thing called a caravan doing phonecalls.  She said that I would be in the caravan with her, and I could help her.   Yeah, right!    I might bite you!!!     In the caravan was a kettle thing for coffee, and a tin with biscuits and cake.   Mummy Sarah had some, and she gave me some.  I sat on the sofa opposite her and just watched.   Mummy Sarah didn't really do anything with me, she just did her calls and let me sit in with her.   I was a bit confused because I wasn't really being focused on.   I thought I might check her out a bit more, and when I moved closer, Mummy Sarah just moved her arm and let me sit next to her.  She didn't touch me.  I was expecting her to give me a smack, but she didn't touch me at all.   So I put my paw on her knee, and then I put my head on her knee.   She still didn't touch me and carried on talking on the phone thing.  Then she stood up and made a drink.  I didn't think about it, I stood up too and followed her.  When she had her drink, she sat down again, so I sat with her again and we carried on as before.

After a while, Mummy Sarah just stoked my head.  I jumped, but I decided not to try and eat her this time.   I just watched to see what happened next.  Nothing, Mummy Sarah moved her hand and made another call.   Hmmmm, ok.   When she finished she picked up the end of my lead and asked if I wanted to go for a walk with her.  We went for a little trot and I met some other dogs and people.  Mummy Sarah told them to just ignore me for now.  When we got back, she put me on a long line next to the caravan and went inside without me.   I don't think so!!!   Don't leave me out here - I quite like helping you with the calls!   I followed her in.   When she came out, I followed her.   I was very tired at the end of the day and instead of being scared, I was very pleased to see my bed.  It had been a very tiring day learning everything new.

The next day was Sunday and people were back again visiting.  Some of the walkers from the day before came again, and they had tears in their eyes when they saw me on Sunday.  I had woke up, and as soon as I saw Mummy Sarah I decided I was going to be brave and try not to kill anyone.

That was the real first day of my new life.  I've been learning how to be a puppy and not an angry, dangerous gremlin!!!   Jack & Merlin have been helping me, and I'm starting to trust the other people too.

Last Thursday I went to the vets for a check-up and some needles!   I was very brave and travelled really well in the car, settling in my special crate and then I met Uncle Chris the vet.  I was excellent and didn't try to eat him once!   And I had a very big needle that means I bleep if I get lost.   I was very, very brave and Mummy Sarah was so proud of me.

This weekend I've been out and about while people have visited, and I shouted at Uncle Raymond when he wore a silly hat!   TeeeHeeeee!!!   I always know where Mummy Sarah is, and if I can't see her, I shout until she shows me where she is and says stop being silly.  Then I'm ok again.    I'm a very good jumper and I thought she'd gone in the caravan, and Uncle Raymond saw me clear the half door to jump in and find her!!
She wasn't there, so I stood on my back legs looking out over the door pretending I didn't know how I'd got in there!!   TeeeHeeee!!

Yesterday was another big day for me.  I went with Jack, Merlin, Daddy Paul and Mummy Sarah on a sponsored walk!!!   It was great fun!   I was in fancy dress and I went as Scooby the Spider Dog.  I've put some pictures below.   I do love Mummy Sarah, so I practised being with someone else for when I get a new home, and I walked with Auntie Grace from the vets.  I kept looking for Mummy Sarah, but I did it!  I even said hello to a little human.   I was ever so good with all the people and all the doggies and I won some prizes on the raffle!!!   YAY!!!!

So, I am Scooby, and I am now a happy puppy.
I like it here and one day soon, I hope that I will have a new family to love me as much as Mummy Sarah and Daddy Paul love me.

I hope you like the photos of me as a Super Scarey Spider!!!  WHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Love
